THQ launching the uDraw this November

More On: uDraw uDraw Studio Pictionary Dood's Big Adventure
THQ has announced a release date for its uDraw peripheral and compatable software for the Ninteno Wii. The uDraw, a drawing / tablet device for the Wii, will be available on November 14, 2010 for $69.99. The package will include the tablet device and uDraw Studio software (a coloring and drawing based game). There will be two other uDraw compatable titles made available on that day as well, Pictionary and Dood’s Big Adventure. Both titles will sell for $29.99.

I think that the Pictionary title is an absolutely perfect fit for this type of device. Considering that the Wii is already positioned as sort of a “party game” console, best enjoyed by groups of people, a classic game such as Pictionary could go a long way in extending the draw (pun intended) of the console and this peripheral to even more “non-gamers”. That aside, it will be interesting to see if other titles such as the Drawn to Life series, take advantage of the uDraw and take their concept(s) to a whole new level.

You can check out a few promotion shots of the device, as well as screenshots from the included game (uDraw Studio) below:
