Would you like a chance to demo Microsoft’s upcoming Kinect well before the release this coming November? Beginning this weekend you can do just that. Microsoft is teaming up with the department store chain Macy’s to put demo kiosk in thirteen Macy’s locations nationwide.

Beginning tomorrow, July 15, 2010, shoppers at the following Macy’s locations can see what all the commotion regarding Ms’ new technology is all about:

  •  Scottsdale, Macy’s Scottsdale- 7014 East Camelback Road
  •  Costa Mesa, Macy’s South Coast Plaza- 33 Bristol Street
  •  Pleasanton, Macy’s Pleasanton- 1300 Stoneridge Mall Road
  •  Santa Clara, Macy’s Valley Fair- 2801 Stevens Creek Boulevard
  •  Miami, Macy’s Dadeland Mall- 7303 S. W. 88th Street
  •  Atlanta, Macy’s Lenox Square Mall- 3393 Peachtree Road Northeast
  •  Chicago, Macy’s State Street- 111 North State Street
New York
  • Garden City, Macy’s Roosevelt Field- 630 Old Country Road
  • New York, Macy’s Herald Square- 151 West 34th Street
  • Columbus, Macy’s Easton- 4141 Easton Loop
  • Houston, Macy’s Galleria Mall- 5135 West Alabama Street
  • McLean, Macy’s Tysons Corner- 8000 Tysons Corner Center
  • Bellevue, Macy’s Bellevue Proper- 400 Bellevue Square

In addition to the in-store displays of the Kinect interface, Macy’s will also be giving away one Kinect set-up per day from August 12 through September 10, 2010. These will be given away through a drawing held daily on the official Macy’s website.

Seeing as though Columbus is on the list, I may have to stop in myself and see what all of the talk is about…
