Test your Drive in Atari's new contest

Atari is plugging their new racer, Test Drive Unlimited, through a contest that allows you to create your own ride.  Supposedly if you win the contest, you get to have your custom car put into the game.  This could be quite the ego trip, showing off your tricked out ride in front of a thousand other gamers on XBox Live.  www.testdriveunlimited.com has all the details.

Who:               In recognition of Design Week 2006, Atari, Inc. announces the “Test Drive Unlimited – Be a Car Designer” contest.

 

Test Drive Unlimited is the ultimate lifestyle and automotive gaming experience packed with the world’s most luxurious vehicles, more than 1000 miles of diverse photo-realistic Hawaiian terrain, a challenging single player game and a host of online options with M.O.O.R.™: Massively Open Online Racing, which enables gamers to interact with thousands simultaneously.  The game offers more than 100 licensed vehicles – cars AND bikes – from exclusive manufacturers that are fully customizable with unrivalled interior and exterior details and functions.  Test Drive Unlimited will be available in September 2006 for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the Windows platform.

 

What:              Car enthusiasts, novice designers, gamers and artists are invited to create an image of their dream concept car for the “Test Drive Unlimited – Be a Car Designer” contest.  The Grand Prize Winner will have their car design implemented into Test Drive Unlimited as a fully functioning 3D vehicle driving alongside the world’s most recognizable cars such as the Lamborghini, Ferrari and Aston Martin.  A monetary prize of $2,500 will also be awarded to the winning designer.  All entrants are encouraged to draw on their fresh imaginations and invent original inspired vehicles that may be seen by millions.
