Pokémon is as simple as Black and White

Nintendo announced that two new versions of Pokémon will be hitting the DS in Spring of 2011. They will be Pokémon Black and Pokémon White, and will feature Pokémon Reshiram (Pokémon Black Version) and Zekrom (Pokémon White Version) on the game covers. Expect the ca$h cow to give us one more dose, as the last two games (Gold and Silver) sold over 8 million combined copies and the franchise has long gone past the 200 million worldwide mark.

New Legendary Pokémon Reshiram and Zekrom Grace Covers of New Releases

REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Two new Pokémon™ games, Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version, for the Nintendo DS™ family of systems will be released in North America in spring 2011. Introducing a new storyline and the next generation of Pokémon, the new releases will feature the Legendary Pokémon Reshiram™ (Pokémon Black Version) and Zekrom™ (Pokémon White Version) on the game covers worldwide.

The Pokémon video game series has sold more than 200 million units worldwide since it was first introduced 14 years ago.
