The Passing coming out today for
Left 4 Dead 2, one of the
new additions will be mutations. And since Chuck says I'm the
Left 4 Dead SME, I figure I'd pass the information along to you.
Mutations are going to be changes to the gameplay that get put out weekly. They can be such things as having only the chainsaw as a weapon in a campaign or like the first one being Realism Versus. Yeah, that's going to make Versus fun. They'll also have a vote so that one returns that month for a week.
All this sounds fun and adds a little variety to the game making you come back weekly. The blog will let you know which mutation is coming up so you won't be surprised. If this works out well, I can see the gameplay migrating to
Team Fortress 2.
