Sony now has access to movies from all six major movie studios

Sony announced today that they have signed a distribution deals with all six major motion picture organizations to stream their videos in high definition through the PlayStation Network. This makes the PS3 the first console to be able to boast this feature although I'm not sure how much it matters given that all three systems have access to Netflix.
This is all well and good but you have to wonder how far we are from getting time movie exclusives on the console front. Sure they still have to compete with Blu Ray and DVD sales but I'm giving it another year before we see a timed motion picture exclusive on the console.
