Batman Arkham Asylum preorder Gamestop exclusive is scary

by: Nathan -
More On: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Gamestop may still be taking pre-orders for Duke Nukem Forever (I kid) but they've still got a few pre-order goodies that you might be interested in. For instance, an exclusive challenge map for Batman Arkham Asylum featuring an army of skeletons commanded by the villain Scarecrow and, you might have guessed, spammed to death by bat-punches. This may be typical pre-order shenanigans though I am intrigued by the claim in the press release that this exclusive challenge map is "...one of the most difficult Challenge Maps that the gamer will face..." Of course once you enter the cheat code for the chain saw arm dispatching the undead won't be a problem for Batman. You did include a chainsaw right, Eidos?

Players will battle the Scarecrow’s army of skeletons

GRAPEVINE, TX, (July 23, 2009) – GameStop (NYSE: GME), the world's
largest video game and entertainment software retailer, announced
today that North American customers who pre-order Batman: Arkham
Asylum™, co-published by Eidos Inc. and Warner Bros. Interactive
Entertainment, will receive access to an exclusive Challenge Map. The
“Dem Bones” Challenge Map pits Batman against Scarecrow’s army of
skeletons.  In true core gamer fashion, this map is among the most
difficult Challenge Maps that the gamer will face as Batman.

GameStop customers will receive a code to download the
skeleton-infested Challenge Map at launch. Batman: Arkham Asylum™ is
available for pre-order in-stores or online.  For more information or

over the asylum. Using a wide range of Batman’s gadgets and abilities,
