More Presidents of the United States of America coming to Rock Band on Election Day 2008

More On: Rock Band 2
Gearing up for election time, Rock Band voted to bring in a 3-pack to the Rock Band Music Store from The Presidents of the United States of America.  "Dune Buggy, "Feather Pluckin," and "Ladybug" are all exemplary of the 1990's Seattle-bred post-grunge vibe (though I wouldn't mind their cover of "Video Killed the Radio Star" for sheer fun factor).  Oklahoma City-based Hinder will also be joining the fray with "Use Me."  In addition, Fall Out Boy's arena rock-sized new single, "I Don't Care," will be showing up on the same day, Tuesday, November 4th.  Further embelishing Election Day are 20 free DLC tracks that can be accessed by using the DLC redemption code located in Rock Band 2's retail packaging.  (No list of what those songs are, though.)  It's certainly time to rock the vote.

EDIT:  Cyril hunted down the list of 20 free songs, reported on over at Xbox America back on October 23rd.

ROCK BAND® GETS PATRIOTIC FOR ELECTION DAY RELEASING A DOWNLOADABLE 3-PACK FROM THE PRESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

20 Free DLC Tracks for Rock Band 2 Owners Available Starting November 4th

Harmonix and MTV Games announced today the addition of five new tracks to the Rock Band® Music Store catalog of downloadable content. To celebrate the upcoming election this week’s lineup will feature a 3-pack from alternative rock band The Presidents of the United States of America, which includes hits “Dune Buggy,” “Feather Pluckn’” and “Ladybug.”  The three tracks join one of the band’s best selling singles “Lump,” which is already featured on the Rock Band 2 soundtrack.

In addition, Fall Out Boy offers up its new single “I Don’t Care,” for the Rock Band Music Store.  The track comes from the band’s new album, Folie á Deux, due out December 16 2008.  “I Don’t Care” will become the third Rock Band DLC release from Fall Out Boy. The band’s first single “Dead On Arrival” was featured on the original Rock Band soundtrack and “This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race” was released as downloadable content in May.
