Maturing Age of Booty enters age of beta

Yesterday (Sept. 19) was, of course, Talk Like a Pirate Day -- and also the day that Capcom opened up the beta for Age of Booty.  Yeah yeah.  I'm kinda out of snickers for that one.  But if you're ready to sail the hexagonal seas with your own booty bedecked pirate ship, then pull into port over at Fileplanet for the client download.  Or, if you prefer the Xbox Live Marketplace, you can certainly go that route.  Some of the achievements include:  15G "Flushed Away," Use a whirlpool curse to teleport an enemy that is attacking your town; 10G "King's Pardon," Beat every challenge in the game; and 30G "Old Salt," Win 10 games in Player match.

5G      Cartographer     Create and save a custom map.

10G    Plunder              Capture a town.

10G    Bombs Away     Destroy a neutral or enemy town's defense with a bomb.

15G    Flushed Away   Use a whirlpool curse to teleport an enemy that is attacking your town.

15G    Cherry Picker    Capture a neutral town after the enemy has destroyed its defenses.

15G    Boom Boom      Sink two enemy ships with a single bomb.

15G    Landlubber        Beat all easy challenges.

25G    On the Account Beat all medium challenges.

40G    Freebooter         Beat all hard challenges.

About Age of Booty

 

Age of Booty is a casual real-time multiplayer strategy game that puts players at the helm of their own pirate ship with the goal of sending your enemies to the briny deep, and looting and capturing towns for your pirate faction.

 

In Age of Booty, players team up with other online players or AI-controlled pirate ships to raid, pillage, sink, and destroy their way to dominance on the high seas.
