The World Cyber Games Grand Finals are ready to set off in Seattle early next month. Over 700 players from around the world will be competing for cash and prizes on October 4th through the 7th. The WCG 2007 Grand Final To Feature Largest and Most Prestigious Group of Partners in WCG History With Seven New Companies


 

(Seattle, September 24, 2007) - The World Cyber Games (WCG), the planet's biggest and most successful e-Sports tournament and festival today announced the details for the WCG 2007 Grand Final, taking place at Seattle's Qwest Field Event Center October 4th - 7th. After more than 1.5 million competitors around the world battled for a spot on their respective national teams, the pool has been narrowed to the elite 700 gamers representing a record 74 countries. These gamers will compete for gold medals, national glory, a share of $500,000 in cash and prizes, and the title of the "world's best" in 12 different gaming titles.
 
"This year's gamers are phenomenal and with a record 74 countries competing in 2007, the Grand Final is sure to be the best event in our seven year history," said Hyoung-Seok Kim, CEO of International Cyber Marketing, organizer of the WCG. "The addition of Samsung Mobile, Razer, Thermaltake, Kingston, AMD, Sapphire and Samsung Optical Disc Drive (TSST) to our list of current sponsors provides us with the biggest and strongest roster of partners we've ever had."
 
Joining current partners Samsung, Microsoft, Circuit City, Spike TV, Samsung Monitor (SyncMaster), Philips amBX, ProCurve Networking by HP, Samsung Digital Camera, and Dust-Off are:
 
Samsung Mobile - Samsung was chosen as the official mobile phone of the 2007 World Cyber Games. They will host the "WCG 2007 Samsung Mobile Challenge" mobile gaming contest at the Samsung booth during the Grand Final.
 
Razer - A world wide renowned PC peripheral, Razer will provide mice, keyboards, and game pads for the WCG 2007 Grand Final. Razer will showcase new products that are optimized for gaming, such as the DeathAdder™ gaming mouse and Razer Tarantula™ gaming keyboard.
 
Thermaltake - A production company for PC Cases, Power and Coolers. An official supplier since 2006, Thermaltake is well known for their unique design and outstanding performance. Thermaltake will provide players with a "WCG 2007 Thermaltake Players' Lounge" during the Grand Final.
 
Kingston - A distinguished production company, Kingston, will supply their "Hyper X," memory for PC gamers. "Hyper X" facilitates better PC performance and provides players with optimized computing circumstance.
 
AMD & Sapphire - A prized VGA card production company, the "Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT" will be the official VGA card of WCG 2007 Grand Final and will be installed in all PCs at the venue.
 
Samsung Optical Disc Drive (TSST) - A premium storage specialty company, TTST will provide the WCG with Optical Disc Drives.
 
The WCG 2007 Grand Final will feature a who's who of international gamers, including:

In addition to watching 74 nations' top players battle it out in 12 titles, the World Cyber Games will provide spectators and participants with a number of informative educational symposiums and speaking engagements. There will be a workshop on 'Women in Gaming' at the Educational Track of WCG, held by DigiPen Institute of Technology, Oct. 6th from 10AM to 1PM, in East Hall of Qwest Field. Also, speakers from companies such as Microsoft, Gas Powered Games, Valve, Wizards of the Coast and others will explore the development of games from four different perspectives (Programming, Design, Art/Sound and Production). These seminars, as well as all activities at the Educational Tracks, are free of charge to anyone attending the WCG 2007 Grand Final.

Spike TV is dedicating an hour episode to the WCG 2007 Grand Final, which will air in November.
