More On: Unbound Saga
If you missed Unbound Saga on the PSP a while back you're going to have the chance to finally play the game on your Xbox 360 this December.  The Xbox Live version has been delayed a few times but the game finally has a date and will be available on December 1st for 800 MS Points (about $10 USD).

The game has you playing Rick Ajax/Lori Machete as they battle their way through a comic book world full of crazy villains as they try to escape their life of monthly mayhem.  The game is very reminiscent of the Double Dragon series and looks pretty solid from the trailer below.

“Unbound Saga’s” Co-Op Mayhem Busting Heads on Xbox LIVE Arcade in December

NEW YORK, November 1, 2010 – Vogster Entertainment’s comic book-themed brawler, “Unbound Saga,” will bring its brand of tongue-in-cheek, multi-player carnage to Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft on Dec. 1, 2010.

Players can go it alone or team up for co-op carnage as tough guy Rick Ajax and his alluring partner Lori Machete battle through panel after panel of classic brawler action. Together, they embark on an epic journey to find The Maker, the mysterious individual responsible for drawing them into one misadventure after another. After decades of torment, it's time to settle the score.

“Unbound Saga” pays satirical homage to traditional arcade-style beat-em-ups while delivering a new level of colorful narrative. Written and produced by veteran comic book writer Mike Kennedy (“Star Wars,” “Superman,” “Aliens vs. Predator”), the title melds in-game action and dialogue with comic book styled cut scenes to lovingly poke fun at both video games and comic books. The plot was further developed in the original title from Dark Horse Comics with contributions from a number of fan-favorite comic book artists, including Leinil Yu (“Secret Invasion,” “New Avengers”), Cliff Richards (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Wonder Woman”), Steve Pugh (“Hardwired,” “Hellgate: London”), and Joe Linsner (“Cry for Dawn,” “Dark Ivory”).

"Comic books and video games are like peanut butter and chocolate -- a natural match made in Heaven -- but without the life-threatening risk to those with nut allergies. So in that sense they go together even better than peanut butter and chocolate,” says Mike Kennedy, lead writer and Senior Producer at Vogster Entertainment. “And bringing ‘Unbound Saga’ to Xbox 360 in glorious HD, with online co-op, crazy enemies and bosses, over-the-top powerups and fighting moves, 120+ environments, a kicking soundtrack by Cracknation, etc… that's just like sprinkling powdered sugar on top of awesomeness. This game was a blast to make, and is as big a blast to play!"

The title will be available worldwide on Xbox LIVE® Arcade on Dec. 1, 2010 for 800 Microsoft Points.
