Ubisoft cancels Ubidays to focus on E3, GamesCon, and TGS

GI has found out that Ubisoft is canceling their Ubidays session this year to focus on the big three gaming shows of the year.  This is interesting because for a while publishers were moving to publisher only events so they could get better, more focused coverage of their games rather than having to compete for digital ink during the big shows.  This was one of the imperatives behind changing the format of E3 to an invite only event.  Ubisoft is the first to do this and it will be interesting to see if any other publishers cancel their own events ahead of E3.
