Thecus has some pretty good NAS products and one we'll be reviewing here soon and they've just announced two new ones. The i4500R and i5500 use the Intel Xscale CPU and 512MB of memory while offering a wide varity of RAId modes. They use hardware that are of high quality for RAID so they offer better performance and reliability than those that come on motherboards. For security, administrators can specify read and write accesses to specific hosts accessing the unit.
