LOS ANGELES – May 11, 2011 – Codemasters® today released the latest developer diary video for Operation Flashpoint®: Red River™, the all-new chapter in the multi-million selling tactical shooter series set to launch on June 7th in North America. In the video, key creative talent explain the many improvements to the user experience alongside stunning new gameplay footage including Marines sweeping through compounds and a JDAM strike obliterating a village. The new video reveals some of the key features set to make Operation Flashpoint: Red River the ultimate tactical infantry shooter. From a new command radial which allows complex commands to be issued in just two button presses to a range of new tutorials and improved way-pointing, the team discusses the myriad ways in which players are eased into the experience. The “visual language of war” and the lengths to which the team have gone to deliver an authentic experience is also discussed as part of the team’s aim “to give players a little glimpse of what it might be like to be on the front line.”
