If you haven't heard by now Ritual announced on Monday that Sin 2
is under development and will be released over Valve's steam network. The game will be broken into three separate episodes which gamers can buy for $20 each and will be using a tweaked version of Valve's Source engine. Each episode will represent about 6 hours of gameplay each (so a little more than $3/hr for those counting at home). This is pretty significant as it represents one of the first attempts by a publisher to release a near AAA title exclusively online without any kind of publisher support. If you're looking for more information on the title you can head over to Eurogamer's preview
of the game for all of the juicy details.
