Electronic Arts is pleased to announced that the The Simsâ„¢ 2 has gone gold for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft, the Nintendo GameCubeâ„¢, and for the Nintendo DSâ„¢, the Nintendo Game Boy® Advance.  These versions of the game will ship to store shelves on October 24, 2005, followed shortly by the Sims 2 for the PSPâ„¢ handheld videogame system.
