Most people know SNK for the NeoGeo but the company was famous for arcade hits long before its console was released; in fact, those arcade titles were the main selling point of the ludicrously overpriced NeoGeo. Now SNK Playmore is reviving a few more of its classic titles with both Time Soldiers and Gang Wars coming to the Playstation Store. Both titles are only $2.99, which approaches Steam-levels of impulse buy territory. The games are primarily for the PSP but are also compatible with PS3.

SNK PLAYMORE USA CORPORATION (Corporate HQ: Suita-city, Osaka, Japan, Company President: Ryo Mizufune) is proud to announce the North & South American release of 2 more nostalgic SNK Arcade Classics ("GANG WARS" and "TIME SOLDIERS" as PlayStation® Minis titles on PSP® (also compatible with PS3™), via the "New Releases" category and the "SNK NEOGEO" Featured Publishers page available on the PlayStation®Store, from Tuesday, July 24th, 2012.

The SNK minis titles are a commemorative "retro-arcade emulation" project that allows players to enjoy a grand collection of action, shooting, platform, and action/puzzle titles. Many of these nostalgic, highly innovative arcade classics released during SNK's Golden Age of action-shooting, etc. during the 80's, are now exclusively available on PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) and compatible on the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system as well for even greater enjoyment!

The previous sets of titles included some of SNK's arcade masterpieces such as "ATHENA", "IKARI WARRIORS", "GUERRILLA WAR", "P.O.W. - PRISONERS OF WAR", "STREET SMART", and "VANGUARD", along with a number of other lesser known, yet revolutionary titles to be enjoyed by both retro gamers and younger generations of players alike.
