Trion has announced that Rift, their upcoming MMO, is going into closed beta next month.  All you need to do is head over to their website, part with a bit of your personal information, and then wait for the formal invite.   If you want to up your chances for getting into the beta you'll want to like them on the various social networks and perhaps sacrifice a small animal to your deity of choice (kidding about the sacrifice thing folks)

Sure the MMO market is fairly crowded these days (especially high fantasy MMO's) but Rift (formerly Rift:Planes of Telara) looks like it could be a bit of fresh breath as they are a bit more action and a bit more instance focused than other games on the market.  Here's a short video that shows off the Plane of Air from the game.

We've got an interview with the company setup so if you have questions leave them in the comments.
