It isn’t as if the modern entries in the schmup genre weren’t hard enough, now we have to play one in reverse! Say hello to Retro/Grade, a PSN exclusive shooter launching on the PlayStation Network next week, on August 21, 2012.
On the surface, the game appears to be a standard shooter, that is until you realize that you start at the last boss battle of the game and go backwards. You will have to undo your actions basically, un-firing your shots throughout the stages. You will also have to dodge enemy projectiles from behind your ship which are returning to the guns that fired them. All of this is done to the beat of a highly original and addictive soundtrack.
