More On: EverQuest II EverQuest Legends of Norrath Free Realms Star Wars Galaxies

Free Realms got a timely update today, just in time for Halloween. Super Spooktacular features decorations, daily trick-or-treating, minigames, 14 new quests, 2 new trading card game Quest Packs and over 35 new costumes for players and pets.

"We are celebrating the first Halloween in Free Realms, with weeks of spooky activities and festive live events," said Andy Sites, senior producer at Sony Online Entertainment. "After a night of trick-or-treating the fun doesn't have to end. Dressed as a chicken, mummy, witch or any of the other crazy costumes available, kids can explore virtual neighborhoods with millions of friends from the safety of their own home."

Super Spooktacular will run from October 14th through November 11th. For more info, visit www.FreeRealms.com.

SOE's other online titles won't be left out of the festivities. EverQuest, EverQuest II, Legends of Norrath, and Star Wars Galaxies will also get Halloween updates.

EverQuest: In EverQuest, late October brings Harvester's Haunt. Brand new quests and holiday-themed rewards abound from October 24th through November 7th. Edmund Strangeways, gravedigger, can be found in the Plan on Knowledge. He seeks only the brave to venture into Norrath and dig up corpses. If grave robbing isn't your thing, try making candy apples or visit a holiday merchant for costumes and special treats.  For detailed information, please visit www.eqplayers.com.

EverQuest II: October in EQ2 once again means Nights of the Dead. Players will be able to visit an all new Haunted Hedgemaze zone in Nektulos Forest, which also boasts a new holiday collection. Check out the Haunted Mansion in Loping Planes or trick-or-treat in Qeynos and Freeport. Buy a costume illusion from holiday merchants or take advantage of some of the great rewards Nights of the Dead events have to offer, like Ponchy's quests in Antonica. Nights of the Dead will run from October 16th through November 9th. To learn more, check out www.eq2players.com.

Legends of Norrath: Between October 15th and November 11th, the Halfling citizens of Riverdale will be counting on you to fend off an invasion of brain-eating zombies (are there any other kind?) and their leader, Eater of Brains.  The all-new scenario, Brraaaaainss!, was created just for Halloween. New and experienced players can test their decks on this free event that promises Halloween treats for the worthy. Keep the Halflings alive and destroy their opponent's avatar or complete the four quests to win the game and you'll receive promo cards and loot cards for EQ and EQ2. Stay up-to-date at www.legendsofnorrath.com.

Star Wars Galaxies: Instead of All Hallow's Eve, we've got the Galactic Moon Festival. Starting October 20th, SWG players can visit Moenia and Mos Eisley to once again celebrate the fright fest. SOE has added several more costumes this year, including Salacious Crumb, a Gamorrean Guard, and by popular request (how cruel!) a Burning Ewok costume.
