Dead to Rights: Retribution is a "ground-up reinvention" of the series that is being published by Namco Bandai.  There are new gameplay elements that mix the third person shooting and brawling genres for a relentless action-driven experience. 

Well, that's what the press release says.  Take a look at this developer diary that was released today.  It takes a look at the visual/conceptual development of the cop and his trusty canine.  There are interviews, concept art and gameplay clips.  Dead to Rights: Retribution will be hitting stores in Q1 2010.

Dead to Rights: Retribution thrusts players into a mature neo-noir crime drama as hard-boiled vice cop Jack Slate and his trusted canine ally Shadow. The new video provides a look at the visual and conceptual development of these main characters with team interviews, early concept art and gameplay clips of the two in action.

Dead to Rights: Retribution will be available in Q1 2010 for Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.
