I'm a huge fan of classic games so I'm always on the lookout for new games that utilize a retro-inspired look. Amulware has recently released a beta version of their new game Roche Fusion, a "fast paced, crazy, over the top, space shoot-em-up with procedurally generated gameplay. Also: explosions." Looking at the trailer for the game reminds me a lot of Geometry Wars, only as a top-down shooter in the style of games like the Raiden or Star Soldier series as opposed to a free-roaming environment.
