Ok, the Mortal Kombat series has gotten tamer with the last entry in the series. Hell, I didn't even pick up
Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe (
read Cyril's full review) but I do know from watching the fatalities in the YouTube video that it's just not the same for the fatalities without the gore. So, Ed Boon has
tweeted saying that they are going to aim for their next Mortal Kombat game to be M-rated. I know fatalities don't make a good game and you have to have a good fighting engine in there as well but I'm glad to see Mortal Kombat going back to showing off some bloody fatalities. For some it's not that important and for me it's still about how well the fighting mechanics are but I still enjoy a good bloody fatality or two. I wonder who will publish since Midway is out of the picture.
