Konami is giving Dragon Ball Z fans plenty to be happy about this fall with two new games: Raging Blast on 360 and PS3 and Attack of the Saiyans on DS.  Raging Blast is a fighting game that includes a massive roster of 70 DBZ characters in high definition goodness.  Attack of the Saiyans is an adventure game where you use a three party system to travel through the DBZ storyline.  I'm surprised they're still retreading the same anime storylines so many years later but with no new content on the anime or manga fronts the fans are probably happy to relive their favorite moments.

NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. today released new assets for the two upcoming Dragon Ball Z series titles for this fall. Experience the thrill of exciting versus battles between Dragon Ball Z characters with gameplay videos and screens from Dragon Ball®: Raging Blast for Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. A new set of screens is also available from Dragon Ball®Z: Attack of the Saiyans for Nintendo DS™, the first turn-based RPG based on the series for the handheld system in North America.

Developed by acclaimed game studio SPIKE, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast culls more than 70 characters, including transformations, from the Dragon Ball Z tome to battle against each other throughout pivotal moments in the Dragon Ball Z series. Featuring the series’ trademark combat battle style, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast will deliver a host of exciting gameplay features, including powerful and customizable attacks, stunning HD graphics, and online versus and tournament modes. On top of classic signature moves, characters also benefit from a new “Super Rising” move which allows players to quickly fly upwards throughout large-scale, massively destructible battle stages, adding a new layer of strategy and tactics to the melee. Dragon Ball: Raging Blast is rated “T” for teen audiences by the ESRB and will launch in November 2009 with an MSRP of $59.99.

Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans follows the events of the original Dragon Ball Z story from the World Tournament and Goku’s triumphant defeat of Piccolo through the Vegeta saga. Based on a three-party system, players choose from Goku and his friends, using their signature martial arts skills to tackle foes. A barrage of attacks are available including Ultimate Skills, Super Attacks and all new team-based “Sparking Combos” that combine the awesome might of each party member to inflict massive damage onto enemies. Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans is rated “E10+” for everyone 10 and older by the ESRB and will launch on November 10, 2009 with an MSRP of $29.99.
