If you live in the Columbus area and are any kind of a gamer then you've probably been in Microcenter at one time or another (there are weeks where John lives in the hardware aisles of their Bethel store).  That said Microcenter is getting ready to open a new gaming department in their Bethel store and they are looking for people to man the department on a full and part time basis.  You'll be responsible for meeting customers and helping them for finding the right games.  They are looking for someone who's got some l33t gaming knowledge as well as an outgoing personality.  Think of it, this is your chance to help people find the good overlooked games while avoiding the latest piece of shovelware.  If you are interested in the position fire off a copy of your resume to their HR department and they'll take it from there.

Want to work in an environment that is wall-to-wall computer technology? Excited about the video game industry? Want your pay to reflect the number of sales you are making? Interested in helping to pave the way in a newly created department filled with the games you know and love to play? If you said “yes” to any of these questions then this is your invitation to join our team for a fun and rewarding position as a Gaming Sales Associate.

Micro Center, the Ultimate Computer Store, is one of the nation’s largest computer retailers, with over 35,000 products and 12 specialized departments in large, well-furnished regional stores. An industry pioneer when we started in 1979, Micro Center continues to be a dynamic, well-managed company in a growth industry, and we have expanded steadily and profitably to 19 stores nationwide. We are currently seeking personable and professional gaming enthusiasts to assist customers in our newly created Gaming Department in our Columbus store off of Bethel Road.

Our Gaming Sales Associates will be responsible for merchandising product and greeting and assisting customers in the Gaming Department. Gaming Sales Associates should possess extensive knowledge of video and PC games and accessories. Our ideal candidate will know the selling process and possess enthusiasm, initiative and passion for the retail and video game industry. Full-Time and Part-Time positions are available.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least one year of retail experience, preferably in sales and customer service. This position will be paid $8.50 per hour during an initial training period and will eventually move to base pay plus commission pay structure.

At Micro Center we demonstrate our commitment to employees through training, career growth and a balance between personal and professional interests.  Our compensation and benefits package is excellent, including medical, dental, vision for both part-time and full-time associates, supplemental critical illness and accident insurance, 401k, paid vacations and holidays, auto and home group insurance, a legal plan, tuition reimbursement, an employee discount and pet insurance. If you enjoy retail and want an opportunity to make a difference, we are interested in hearing from you. Check us out on the web at www.microcenter.com.
