Like the other digital distribution companies the folks at Stardock are running a series of holiday sales leading up to Christmas next week. The company is probably going to have some good deals on games like
Sins of a Solar Empire and
Demigod but they are forcing users to
download and keep their Impulse client running in order to gain access to the deals. This is great if you already have the client running in the background but for everyone else it's a bit of a hassle.
Personally I'd rather see the deals on their
website or posted on their Twitter
account rather than having to deal with installing an application but that's just me. I'm also the guy who kills the Steam client as I'd rather not waste extra cycles having it run in the background. Am I just being lazy or is this a real issue? Let me know in the comments.
