If the first trailer didn't make Mass Effect 2 "official," then BioWare is now "announcing" it

More On: Mass Effect 2
Well, if BioWare didn't "officially" announce Mass Effect 2 today, then the video released back in February wouldn't have been a teaser, now would it?  Marketing 101, kids.  BioWare describes ME2 as a "dark" second chapter, as the humans--still viewed as brazen little upstarts in the eyes of the galactic community at large--struggle against an even nastier enemy than the original's Saren and his army of Geth soldiers.  No clue.

Something of further note is that even though BioWare is bringing Dragon Age: Origins to the PC, 360 and PS3, the PlayStation 3 will have to continue sitting out any chance of adventuring with Commander Shepherd in Mass Effect 2.  This second installment in the planned trilogy is coming early 2010.
