Hydra brings a bit of motion to Steam

More On: Razer Hydra
Razer and Sixense Entertainmment have announced that full integrated motion support / controls are now available got many of Valve’s top games. Among those titles now officially supporting motion controls using the Razer Hydra are Left 4 Dead 2, Half-Life 2, and Team Fortress 2. Some of the Valve titles coming down the line, such as DOTA2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive are also prepared to launch with full support of the accessory.

Valve has also enabled backwards compatability for motion gaming with the Hydra for a couple of hundred games already available on the Steam service. Updates for games that support the Hydra are readily available as standard updates on the service and will be automatically rolled out as they are crafted for other games in the future.

What do you think: is the motion-gaming movement finally breaking into the mainstream? Have we moved beyond the concept being simply a gimmick and are we, as gamers, ready to accept it as a standard means of playing our core games?
