Growlanser: Wayfarer Of Time finally hits North American PSP's this Sumer

More On: Growlanser: Heritage of War
If the wait for Growlanser: Wayfarer Of Time has been painful here is something that may help ease the pain. ATLUS has released the opening animation for the game!

Growlanser is the fourth chapter in the long running series. Once a beautiful land has been destroyed by mysterious entities. Now two millennia later, the mysterious entities are back threatening to destroy the land once again. Are they called The Reapers?

Ill admit that I know nothing about the Growlanser games but apparently this game is known as Growlanser IV: Over Reloaded in Japan. I always did find it fascinating that games like this get released in North America under new names as if the previous entries in the series never existed but I guess fans of the series would know better.

If you've got 40+ hours to spare, why not spend it playing Growlanser! Well that of course would be only one playthrough and with 40 different possible endings this is a game that you will be playing for a LONG time.

Growlanser hits the PSP this Summer

OPENING ANIMATION RELEASED FOR GROWLANSER: WAYFARER OF TIME FOR PSP SYSTEM, COMING SUMMER 2012 ACROSS NORTH AMERICA

Watch the characters of the legendary Satoshi Urushihara come to life in this new video!

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA -- APRIL 26, 2012 -- ATLUS today released the opening movie from the long-awaited strategy RPG Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time for PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system. The enhanced and expanded remaster of the strategy RPG classic is scheduled for release across North America this summer in both retail and downloadable (via PlayStation®Network) formats.

Never before released outside of Japan (where it is known as Growlanser IV: Over Reloaded) and widely considered the best entry in the long-running franchise, this PSP system iteration of the fourth chapter in the Growlanser saga tells of a land -- once rich with culture and technology -- long ago nearly obliterated by evanescent divine entities. Two millennia later, the mysterious entities appear again, threatening to bring about an end to all things unless a fabled warrior of destiny can rise against them.

Patient fans can watch the new video, now available to the public, and look forward to a long list of improvements and additions over the original game: new characters, scenarios, and events are complemented by dramatically improved loading times and a message skip option that allows players to advance the story at a faster pace. Blending a sprawling 40+ hour narrative with over 40 different possible endings; deep tactical RPG mechanics; the character designs of the legendary Satoshi Urushihara; and a host of enhancements over the original release, Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time continues the proud ATLUS tradition of epic adventures set in breathtaking worlds and gives PSP system owners something to look forward to in 2012.

Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time for PSP system is currently scheduled for release this summer. For more info, please visit http://www.atlus.com/growlanserpsp.
