Gamescom: SteelSeries announces the Siberia Elite Headset

by: John -
More On: Siberia Elite
SteelSeries today announced a new headset titled the Siberia Elite Gaming Headset. These puppies produce 7.1 virtual surround sound from some brand new drivers that that awesome suspension system that I really like. Coming in both black and white, you can see from the pics that they have a generous amount of foam on the ear cups.

For those that love lights, each ear cup can illuminate in one of 16.8 million colors that you can set with some breathing effects. Adjusting sound and mic can be done via some dials. Speaking of the mic, it's got some active noise cancellation, which is pretty cool and it will retract into the headset when not in use.

You can connect the headset to a PC, Mac, or mobile device as the Siberia Elite features a swappable cable system that I saw at E3. I do like it's a flat cord as those tend to not tangle nearly as much.

You'll be able to pre-order the Siberia Elites in September and they will retail for $199.99.
