Gamefly holding a open casting call for new commercial

GameFly is working on a new commercial and they want you to be in it.  As part of their Super Fan Casting Call,all you have to do is dress up as your favorite video game character and either show up to one of the casting calls in LA, Chicago, and New York (details after the jump) or submit your 45 second video to them for you chance to enter.  Video entries must be submitted between August 26th and September 30th.  Entries will then be posted on Gamefly's site and people will vote on who will be in the commercial.  Sounds like it's time for Ben to bust out that old Princess Peach costume.
GameFly, the leading online video game rental service, is inviting gamers everywhere to suit up as their favorite video game character for a chance to appear in an upcoming TV commercial. Now is the time to pull out those Solid Snake 'staches and Master Chief costumes.

The GameFly Super Fan Casting Call is the first contest of its kind from GameFly and a way to personally connect with the gaming community in a fun, interactive and rewarding way. Contestants will compete by submitting a video of themselves portraying their favorite video game character during one of three live casting call events or online at www.gamefly.com/superfan. Submissions must be :45 seconds or less and should "show and tell" us why you love GameFly and why the character you're dressed as is your favorite.

Events will be held at:


· September 9, Los Angeles - Hollywood and Highland Center/12-6 p.m. PST

· September 16, Chicago - ESPN Zone/12-6 p.m. CST

· September 23, New York - Hawaiian Tropic Zone/12-6 p.m. EST



Video submissions will be accepted from August 26th - September 30th. Voting is open to everyone beginning October 1 through October 31st. The person whose video gets the most votes will win a trip to Hollywood to appear in GameFly's next TV commercial. Attached is a logo and image of a super fan dressed up and ready for action.
