Gamefly Top 10 Lists: Everybody Loves Those...

I like knowing what games are doing well, especially new IPs.  Knowing new IPs like Dead Space and Left 4 Dead do well despite being risky for a game company (since a new IP is never a sure success) gives me hope for continued innovation and originality in this industry.  Gamefly, the premier game rental service and one I throughly enjoy, has compiled three top ten lists for people like me to muse over with a perplexed expression while saying things like "why, this is interesting..." so we sound intelligent (or is that just me?).  While there aren't many new IPs on the following lists, they still make for an interesting read.  So without further ado, here are Gamefly's top ten lists compiled from gamer interest in a selection of over 6,000 cross-platform titles from the PS2, PS3, PSP, XBox, XBox 360, Wii, GameCube, GBA, and DS:

I can't speak for all of the games on these lists, but I've sunk a lot of time into Resident Evil 5, Killzone 2, and LittleBigPlanet and those games definitely deserve to be on the list.  I recently received Halo Wars (thanks Gamefly) and I am enjoying that as well, but I can't say the same for Wanted and Chronicles of Riddick.  I've only played the demos for the two but the former has uninspired combat and the latter was just... uninteresting.  These are only my impressions based solely on the demos and I truly hope they are better than what I was shown, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
