MMO Crunch has
listed the top five most memorable events in the history of MMO's. It's a pretty good list and includes the Leeroy Jenkins and Corrupted Blood incidents from
World of Warcraft, the big heist of ships from
EVE Online last year , and coming in at #1, the assassination of Lord British in
Ultima Online. I still remember reading about the Lord Britich incident because it was such a major coup. Lord British (Richard Garriot) is one of the founding fathers of the gaming industy and to see him get killed in his own game was pretty entertaining. There's a great write up of that event as well as the full history of Richard Garriot and the game industry in the book
Dungeons and Dreams.
