First Ever DDR community event?

More On: Dance Dance Revolution
I can't believe that Konami is hosting the first ever Dance Dance Revolution community event--I've seen those things at schools, arcades and retirement homes for years now. Well, maybe this is the first one Konami is hosting, and it's at the Royal-T Cafe in Los Angeles this Thursday. DDR creator Naoki Maeda will be there to introduce the brand new DDR for the PS3. I'm glad the PS3 is getting some DDR love, with the Wii soaking up so much of the series' press in the last couple of years.

The Wii and 360 will still be there, with Konami showing off DanceMasters, their first Kinect title. It should be an interesting cross-section of the dance game genre...I'm still not convinced that Harmonix's Dance Central will dominate dance games entirely. DDR just has its own unique style and too many fans to get served by the competition.
