It looks like Epic is the latest
company to open a development company overseas to take advantage of cheaper development labor. They hope that by sending some work off to cheaper labors they can lower the total cost of developing the game. As someone who's worked with off shore developing in the past I wish them the best of luck as the increased amount of re-work and re-design usually ends up eating into most of the expected cost savings. Hopefully they have better luck than I have.
