EA's still second fiddle to Activision Blizzard in size, but they're still acquiring and looking to acquire new companies. Talking to Bloomburg
, EA's CEO John Riccitiello said that there are about 25 companies that would make sense for them to pick up if they were 5 to 10 percent less than their asking price. Playfish and Chillingo were two companies that EA picked up recently.
When talking about Harmonix, John said that while it made "theoretical" sense, it's not the strategic direction they are moving in. I know some folks want EA to pick them up and they were the ones to distribute the series. While I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that EA buys them, it doesn't look promising if you take what John says.e
