EA snatched another IP away from Vivendi yesterday when it acquired the
exclusive rights to make video games based on the Simpsons television
program. Dean Takahashi has some of the details and a short

No financial terms were released but this is the second big take-away
for EA as they acquired the distribution rights for Half-Life 2 earlier
this year.
This is a bit disappointing to me because Vivendi was finally starting
to crank out decent games based on the franchise. I can't say
that I have high hopes for what EA is going to do with the property but
you never know.
