One of the pleasantries of going back to school is all the opportunity for consumer indulgence. In particular, Nintendo has given us reason to look forward surfing their shop channels on the Wii, Nintendo DSi, and Virtual Console.

DSiWare will be featuring Art Academy: First Semester, and Oscar in Toyland for all your painting and toy-centered desires. WiiWare has three new downloadable games including Texas Hold’Em Poker, Spaceball: Revolution where you test your wit against intergalactic obstacles, and Mart Racer, which, being that you play as a competitive shopper in a grocery store, looks to be one of those hilariously fun games. The Virtual Console will be offering Crash ‘N The Boys Street Challenge, where high schoolers are put up to a Street Challenge against their rival high school.

In addition to these releases, Nintendo is offering 1,000 bonus Nintendo DSi Points if you a purchase the game system and get to DSiWare just before the clock strikes October 6th.
