I know, I know... every year we (as gamers) groan and complain about the Spike TV Video Game Award’s... but we usually end up watching them. You have to admit though, last year’s show was a lot better than the years before it and hopefully that trend will improve with the 2010 version of the awards show.
Spike TV has revealed the categories and nominees for this year’s event. The list isn’t bad, but one does have to wonder exactly what the nomination process for the event entails... who decides on these nominations? Some of the nominations are a little out of left field and seem to be there solely due to popularity and not necessarily merit. Perhaps Spike should look to getting the public involved in at least the nomination process, or perhaps the gaming media.
