MCV is
reporting that Activision is in talks to buy Demonware, a company that develops multiplayer middleware (their software is in
Saints Row,
Call of Duty 3, and
Rainbow Six:Vegas). While it's not a flashy purpose, it certainly adds a lot of depth to Activision as their developers would have access to their resources.
