In order to commemorate this week’s release of the
Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection on both the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios have released a new video which gives a little bit of insight on the history of the three arcade games included in the digital compilation. The video has been released as an episode of the ongoing MK video series MKast.
This video is a bit of a treat for Mortal Kombat fans such as myself as it gives a good look at the background of these classic games. It is amazing to look back and see the evolution of the series, particularly on the arcade scene. I remember when this all happened and spending numerous weekends and evenings at either Putt-Putt or skipping my 4th period science class to head down to Aladdin’s Castle at the Mall... good times... good times...
