Everyone's getting hit with layoffs these days and game companies aren't immune to this of course. In fact, a few of them have begun to reduce staff recently. Kotaku
has word that EA has let go 6% of their workforce or 600 people. A reduction of hiring and a closing of several open positions will also take place with the company. It's always sad to see this happen with any company so let's hope the economy turns around soon so we won't have many more of these.
