inFAMOUS 2 getting “Hero Edition” according to Amazon

Oh Amazon, can you ever let a publisher announce their own special edition for a game? I guess not as the online retailer has revealed a special edition of Sucker Punch’s upcoming inFAMOUS 2, dubbed the Hero Edition.

According to the now-pulled listing, the Hero Edition of the game will include the following extras:
  • limited edition, 8.5 inch Cole McGrath statue
  • replica Cole McGrath sling pack
  • redeemable voucer for addition in game content including the Lightning Power Hook, Electrocution Grenade Power, Kessler skin, and 24K Gold Amp weapon variant
  • mini inFAMOUS #1 DC comic
  • inFAMOUS 2 official soundtrack
The listing priced the set at $99.99 and gave an expected release date of May 24, 2011. Now that the information has been released, albeit unofficially, Sony should be following up with the official details.
