Spike Video Game Awards 2011 Winners List

This past Saturday, as I am sure you know, Spike TV held their annual Video Game Awards presentation. There were plenty of titles recognized in this year’s event as well as reveals for a ton of new games coming in 2012. We will get to the various game trailers and announcements throughout the day we figured that it would be best to start off by giving everyone a run down of all of the awards given throughout the evening, in case you missed the show.
  • Game of the Year: Elder Scrolls V- Skyrim
  • Studio of the Year: Bethesda Game Studios
  • Character of the Year: The Joker (Batman- Arkham City)
  • Gamer God: Blizzard Entertainment
  • Best Xbox 360 Game: Batman- Arkham City
  • Best PS3 Game: Uncharted 3- Drake’s Deception
  • Best Wii Game: Legend of Zelda- Skyward Sword
  • Best PC Game: Portal 2
  • Best Handheld / Mobile Game: Super Mario 3D Land
  • Best Shooter: Call of Duty- Modern Warfare 3

  • Most Anticipated Game: Mass Effect 3

  • NFL Blitz Cover Athlete: Ray Rice
This year’s selections weren’t that bad as there is little room for argument with most of the decisions. If there is any category to contest though, it is easily the Trailer of the Year... Dead Island was robbed.
