Rulers of Nations coming to PC

by: Ben Berry -
More On: Rulers of Nations
So there's this giant oil spill threatening ocean-based triathlon swims (oh, and ocean-based life too), the global economy is still teetering on the brink of collapse (thanks alot, Greece!), and Sarah Palin and Kate Gosslin will soon appear on the same "reality show" (a sure sign of the apocolypse). And while the Eggo Waffle shortage has finally been mostly resolved, there are still plenty of things wrong.

All of these problems make me want to rule the world, so I can either fix those problems, or at least be too powerful to be truly affected by them. And while I'll probably have to wait to work on that until my wife finishes grad school, I can at least pretend by playing Rulers of Mations. Up to 16 player action, trying to keep the US afloat while dealing with all of the worst problems a world leader can face.

Like a shortage of waffles...
RULERS OF NATIONS ANNOUNCED FOR PC; PLAYERS BECOME POLITICAL LEADERS SOLVING IMMENSE CHALLENGES:  GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS, BUDGET DEFICIT, AFGHANISTAN, IRAN, GLOBAL WARMING

Comprehensive geo-political simulation adventure lets players become President Obama (or other world leader) and face real-world situations, take action, and react to the resulting in-game consequences…will you prosper or screw things up?

WEST HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT – JULY  22, 2010 --  Rulers of Nations, a geo-political simulation game for PC created by Eversim LLC, puts players in President Obama’s shoes starting in September when the game will be available at retail stores nationwide in DVD-ROM format and  online in digital format .

Players must solve the same complex issues that face President Obama including the global financial crisis, the US budget deficit, Afghanistan (the new Vietnam for NATO countries?), Iran (the next nuclear power?), and global warming.   Rulers of Nations, created by using the new Version 2.0 of Eversim’s powerful and most realistic geo-political game engine, also includes new challenges such as managing refugees after a catastrophe, colonizing countries, buying black market weapons, and creating energy sources, from solar to deep-sea oil drilling.

Governing the U.S. on a constantly changing, perilous world stage is the ultimate challenge.  Play solo or with friends (up to 16 online players) and decide if other human or simulated Heads of State are your friends or enemies.  Not only can you play the President, but your avatar looks like him!  Eversim has cleverly created 3D clones of the heads of major political leaders to add more realism to an already realistic game.

Rulers of Nations is played on a detailed 3D world map showing 192 countries and 8,000 cities in a visually stimulating user interface with multiple windows and on-screen video inserts. Each country has current data on 400 key factors (economics, energy, monetary, military, etc.) based on current data from 50 international organizations including the United Nations, G20, NATO, NAFTA, and OPEC.

Have fun playing in the complicated and challenging scenarios of armed conflict, economic wars, terrorist attacks, spying, alliances, and treason!

Rulers of Nations will be available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Russian.  The DVD-ROM version will be distributed in North America by Enteractive Distribution Co.
