Rock Band 3 DLC next week going with most obnoxious song ever

More On: Rock Band Rock Band 2 Rock Band 3
Don’t get me wrong, I love Tommy Tutone’s “867-5309/Jenny”, but the song seems to find a way to just stick in your head for hours if you hear it at the wrong point of your day. So maybe next week when it, along with songs from Anberlin, Ohio Players and Reliant K hits the Rock Band 3 DLC world we can become immune to its powers. Most of you will be familiar with the two Ohio Player songs, as “Fire” is the theme song to Hell’s Kitchen and “Love Rollercoaster” was covered by the Red Hot Chili Peppers on Stadium Arcadium. I’m not as familiar with the other three songs and artists, but they all sounded like catchy tunes (or hardcore with Blood and Thunder.)

As usual, pricing is $1.99/169 MS Pts/200 Wii Pts per track with the $0.99/80 MS Pt/100 Wii Pt charge to upgrade to Pro Bass/Pro Guitar for the three tracks marked with an ‘X’. Here is the list, so break out your points and be ready to download them.
  • Anberlin – “Breaking”
  • Mastodon – “Blood and Thunder” X
  • Ohio Players – “Fire”
  • Ohio Players – “Love Rollercoaster” X
  • Relient K – “Must Have Done Something Right”
  • Tommy Tutone – “867-5309/Jenny” X

American rockers Relient K will also make their Rock Band debut next week with “Must Have Done Something Right” from their 2007 album Five Score and Seven Years Ago, which debuted at No. 6 on the U.S. Billboard 200.

Finally, Tommy Tutone will also make their debut next week with the 80s classic “867-5309/Jenny.” The song was originally released on the 1981 album Tommy Tutone 2 and reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Billboard Top Tracks chart. “867-5309/Jenny” was rerecorded and released on 2010’s Tutone-Ality, which is the version featured in Rock Band.
