So Earth Eternal has gone semi-global. I always find it funny that a game with the name Earth in it is release to less than the entire world. It looks like Sparkplay has licensed their platform to Sankando a Japanese company that will provide access to the game to non-english folks in the pacific. If you can read this, you've probably had access to Earth Eternal for some time, but in case maybe you're translating via Google or can read the game journalist dialect of the english language but are a native speaker of Japanese, then you have a new game coming at you.

SPARKPLAY PARTNERS WITH SANKANDO TO BRING EARTH ETERNAL TO INTERNATIONAL MARKET

SAN FRANCISCO - April 19, 2010 - Earth Eternal, Sparkplay Media's 3D browser-based massively multiplayer online (MMO) game, will soon be available to new players across the Pacific, thanks to a partnership with Sankando, a popular Japanese online game and community operations company known for the ocean fantasy MMO, Florensia.  Sparkplay will license Earth Eternal to Sankando, making the game available to non-English speaking players for the first time.

"We are dedicated first and foremost to bringing an exciting and immersive free-to-play product to the market, and secondly, to ensuring that players from all over the world can join in the fun," said Matt Mihaly, CEO and founder, Sparkplay Media.  "Our partnership with Sankando is the first step toward global domination by Earth Eternal.  Few companies in Japan can provide us with the quality of service that Sankando promises its community, and by extension, our players."

Earth Eternal provides players with the sophistication and depth of a classic MMO in a free-to-play, browser-based experience.  The game takes place in a fantasy-themed 3D world, where Gaia's anthropomorphic Beasts have returned from the outskirts of reality, after mankind wiped itself out through war and violence, to further their struggles against the Dark Lord and his endless efforts to wrest control of the land from the gods.  Familiar man-made landmarks including Big Ben and the Eiffel Tower make an appearance in this alternate Earth, serving as an eerie reminder of what came before.

"Sparkplay has built a uniquely imaginative and entertaining game for its community," said Masahiro Teramoto, president and COO, Sankando.  "We are thrilled at the chance to bring Earth Eternal overseas to add to the Sankando line-up and know our community will love exploring this creative MMO."

While Earth Eternal is a true browser-based 3D MMO, Sparkplay Media also offers an optional downloadable client, which provides an identical experience.  Sign up now to get into the game athttp://www.eartheternal.com.
