Nintendo lineup for the rest of the year is looking strong

2010 has been an uncharacteristically strong year for Nintendo, with Mario Galaxy 2 hitting in May and cult-classic sequel Sin and Punishment Star Successor following up in June. Nintendo is keeping the momentum going with several solid releases staggered over the next few months, including Metroid Other M At the end of August, Samurai Warriors following quickly at the beginning of September, Wii Party for the casuals and Kirby's Epic Yarn for the core fans in October, and Retro Studios' hotly anticipated Donkey Kong Country Returns in November.

Certainly a strong first party lineup, but when you consider third party heavy-hitters like GoldenEye 007, Conduit 2, Rock Band 3, Sonic Colors, Super Scribblenauts, Epic Mickey and even a new Final Fantasy on the DS, this has to be the strongest second half for Nintendo platforms three years running. I know cash is tight, but most of these games are looking like must-plays, if not must-buys. If you want to see this kind of strong lineup as a regular thing, especially from the third party publishers, then vote with your wallets. Nintendo isn't the only publisher with great stuff coming up for Wii and DS.
