More On: Jagged Alliance: Back in Action
Kalypso Media and bitComposer have released a new trailer for their upcoming tactical turn-based strategy game Jagged Alliance: Back in Action. This title is the HD remake of Jagged Alliance 2 with new 3D graphics and an innovative approach to gameplay that includes a waypoint system for your group of hired mercenaries. Players are tasked with taking back the fictitious island of Arulco from a brutal dictator by hiring mercenaries to remove the enemy threat in various sections of the country. The new "plan and go" feature will allow for instant pausing of the game to place waypoints for each of your mercenaries in a mission.

I'll be posting my thoughts next week about the game from a recent press event by Kalypso Media in San Francisco. Jagged Alliance: Back in Action will be available exclusively for PC in February 2012.

Ridgewood, NJ, December 8, 2011  -Grab your combat boots and prepare to go "Back in Action" with today's new trailer for Jagged Alliance: Back in Action, the upcoming tactical turn-based strategy game coming from Kalypso Media and bitComposer. The new trailer showcases some of the story and gameplay from the upcoming title, which challenges players to recruit, manage and command squads of mercenaries as they fight to free the island of Arulco from an evil dictator. For more information about Jagged Alliance: Back in Action, which Kalypso will release in North America in February 2012 on Windows PC, please visit http://facebook.jaggedalliance.com.

Back in Action takes players to the fictitious country of Arulco, where a ruthless dictator has seized power and only a small group of rebels stand to resist him. Tasked with freeing the island from the dictator’s iron grip, players will command rebel and mercenary forces while using tactical, diplomatic and economic tools to keep troops supplied and ready for the next flight, all while commanding them directly in nail-biting battles.

Back in Action’s innovative “plan & go” combat system combines real-time strategy (RTS) with turn-based elements to guarantee that the intricacies of tactical warfare are rendered in dynamic, exciting gameplay. This challenges would-be commanders to master not only strategy and tactical combat, but also to maximize their team’s capabilities through RPG-like character advancement.
