More On: Dead to Rights Retribution
Dead to Rights: Retribution just released some new screens and, more importantly, a new video on gameplay. Particularly, the video showcases various ways of attacking your enemies. From melee, to shooting, to your loyal companion who goes by the name of Shadow, it doesn’t seem that you will get bored of planning out your next tactical strike.

The video also shows how you can use your environment and items to your advantage in combat. You’ll also notice the occasional zoom and slow-mo mid-combat, which should be useful for scoping out your enemies for a clear shot. Check the video for the details.

New ASSETS FOR DEAD TO RIGHTS®: Retribution AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD

NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. today released new screens and gameplay video for Dead to Rights®: Retribution, a ground-up reinvention of the multi-million unit selling crime action series, developed by Volatile Games. The new set of assets gives players a peek at the explosive combat that awaits, with an emphasis on the gunplay component of the three-pronged seamless combat system. Dead to Rights: Retribution provides a diverse toolset of moves available to them including gunplay, hand-to-hand combat and AI companion Shadow. Players are given the freedom to choose how they want to utilize these intuitive components.

The latest assets provide a look at effectively using the myriad of options available for dispatching enemies – easy transitions from hand-to-hand melee into shooting; utilizing Shadow to tag-team enemies or fetch weapons; strategically utilizing environmental objects like explosive canisters and cars; carefully placing a grenade to blow away a group of enemies; using cover effectively both defensively (as a barrier shield, blind firing from safety or surprise hitting an enemy by kicking over cover) or offensively (destroying cover in order to shoot an enemy); utilizing rapid-firing turrets; and effectively utilizing “focus mode” to slow down time in order to get better aim on an enemy.

Thrusting players into a mature neo-noir crime drama as vice cop Jack Slate and his canine companion Shadow, Dead to Rights: Retribution introduces new gameplay elements that unify the third person shooting and brawling genres for a brutal and relentless new action-driven experience. Introducing an innovative new hybrid combat system that seamlessly blends gunplay with hand-to-hand combat and AI partner, the game puts the full combat potential of a highly trained, highly agitated law-enforcement officer into players’ hands.

Dead to Rights: Retribution will be available in Q1 2010 for Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.
